About Summer Fields 

Located in the heart of the city, this prestigious boarding school is surrounded by impressive Saxon architecture, with fantastic sports facilities and an adventure playground!  

The school venue is ideal for young learners starting their language and study - travel journey. The closed, secure campus atmosphere provides an ideal setting for junior students to experience a British boarding school-style programme, and have fun learning English and exploring British culture. 

Mix with local British children in a range of supervised sport and multi-activities organised and delivered by our sister Active Camp programme.

Summer Fields school is located in the Oxford neighbourhood of Summertown. Set in a beautiful 70 acre campus next to the river Cherwell. 

• Access to: Oxford, London, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, Bath and The Cotswolds.
• Oxford is only 5 minutes by bus or a 30 minute stroll by bicycle from Summer Fields. 
• Summer Fields is located in the lively urban area of Summertown, and is less than a two-minute walk away from a compact collection of cafes and quirky independent shops. 
• Look beyond Oxford's spires and impressive history and you'll find a buzzing student community - almost a quarter of the Oxford population are students.
• Summertown, found north of the Oxford city centre, is a vibrant and hugely popular business area and one of Oxford's most sought after residential areas. 
• Within a short walk from the school, you will find a number of cafes and restaurants, as well as some of the most highly regarded schools in Oxford, which draw families from around the world to reside in the area. 
• Summertown offers a wonderful sense of community and the shopping area situated along the Banbury Road offers a delightful area to enjoy a morning coffee, browse a number of individual shops or dine in one of the superb restaurants.
• Oxford city centre is within easy reach from the regular bus services and the new rail station is found north of Summertown, offering links to Marylebone, London.

Spires Plus

Spires Plus Options at Summer Fields school gives students the opportunity to benefit from six hours per week of additional learning across a range of academic, sporting and creative areas. 

At Summer Fields school we are also lucky enough to be able to offer our students the unique opportunity to experience our sister camp programmes as part of the Spires Plus option.

Active Camps

Allows students to take their learning outside the classroom and into a practical setting, where students will develop new skills, make new friends and above all, have fun with local Oxford-based English speaking children. 

Active Adventure 

This Active Adventure programme prides itself in being on of the best outdoor learning providers in Oxfordshire. By providing a range of adventurous outdoor experiences, we encourage a positive engagement with the natural world through fun and creative programming. 

All our Spires Plus Options take place in the afternoon during the hours of 2pm - 4pm.
