Students on the Spring Vacation course will benefit from a short but impactful experience in a typical British boarding school, with a real focus on authentic communication and developing study skills. Lessons are based on a communicative approach, with student confidence at the core of our syllabus and methodology.

New for 2021 are our residential Football Education Courses for 5 nights, for boys and girls in partnership with Oxford United Football Club.  Courses are designed to give an insight into training and playing like a professional footballer, with inspiring coaching sessions delivered by Oxford United's Academy coaches.

Spring Vacation: 28 March – 19 April 2021 (1-3 weeks) for ages 12-17 years

Combine learning English with activities and excursions, for one, two or three weeks. This course is suitable for international students who wish to have a taste of life in a British boarding school, and who are academically driven and ambitious.

1. General English Course  (12-17 years)

Start dates: 28 March, 4 April & 11 April 2021(final departure day is Saturday 19 April)

What's included?

  • 7 nights of full board residential accommodation in the school's own on-campus boarding accommodation
  • At least 15 hours tuition per week
  • Three full day excursions per two week stay
  • Varied weekly programme of sports and leisure activities
  • Applied learning on social activities and trips
  • An entrance English level check

  • Airport transfers and student insurance can also be arranged for an additional fee

2. Football Performance Education Course (Boys & Girls ages 14-17 with Oxford United Football Club)

3. Football Development Education Course (Boys & Girls ages 9-13 years with Oxford United Football Club)

Start dates (5 nights): 4 April 2021

Football Development Education courses aimed at younger players (9-13 years) is an age-specific course aimed at participation, play and enjoying the game.  Players will be taken through 30 hours of both 'on' and 'off' pitch, coaching sessions with Oxford United's Academy coaches.

4. Football Language Education Course (Boys & Girls ages 9-13 & 14 -17 years with Oxford United Football Club)

Start dates (5 nights): 4 April 2021

Combining learning 'Football English' with our qualified English language teachers and improving your game with coaching by Oxford United's Academy coaches, this age-specific course aimed at boys and girls is ideal for players interested in learning relevant Football English language and terminology used in the English professional game.

What's included:

  • 5 nights of full board residential accommodation in the school's own on-campus boarding accommodation
  • 15 hours of age-specific Football English language learning and 15 hours of coaching content (training, coaching and workshops with Oxford United FC)
  • Access to the new Oxford United FC training ground - The Oxford Sports Park
  • An Oxford United FC 'Puma' training kit
  • An Oxford United Academy coach's personal evaluation and development plan 
  • Applied learning on social activities and trips

The accommodation is Residential – single, twin, triple, and quad rooms in boarding houses, with shared bathroom facilities:

Bot Mazes  –  Code a BBC micro:bit to control a robot buggy and explore the importance of testing and improving their designs, including:

Bit Codebreakers – Learn how to use a BBC micro:bit to send messages, considering the importance of privacy while trying to work out who the secret agent partner is, including:

Active Camps – An opportunity to mix and integrate with local British children on a range of multi- activity sessions, all delivered in English by our experienced and qualified team.  Activities include:

Active Adventure - Enjoy fun, creative, and varied outdoor and adventure activities with local British children including:
