  • Teddies is located in the lively urban area of Summertown, and is less than a two-minute walk away from a compact collection of cafés and quirky independent shops

  • Look beyond Oxford’s dreaming spires and impressive history, and you’ll find a buzzing student community - almost a quarter of the Oxford population are students
  • Summertown, found north of Oxford city centre, is a vibrant and hugely popular shopping and business area and one of Oxford's most sought after residential areas
  • Within a short walk of 'Teddies' you will find a number of cafes, restaurants as well as some of the most highly regarded schools in Oxford which draw families from around the world to reside in the area
  • Summertown offers a wonderful sense of community and the shopping area situated along the Banbury Road offers a delightful area to enjoy a morning coffee, browse a number of individual shops or dine in one of the superb restaurants
  • Oxford city centre is within easy reach from the regular bus service and the new rail station is found just north of Summertown, offering links to Marylebone, London

Spring Vacation: 30 March – 20 April 2025 for ages 12 - 17 years

Combine learning English with activities and excursions, for one, two or three weeks. This course is suitable for international students who wish to have a taste of life in a British boarding school, and who are academically driven and ambitious.

  • 7 nights of full board residential accommodation in the school's own on-campus boarding accommodation
  • At least 15 hours tuition per week
  • Three full day excursions per two week stay
  • Varied weekly programme of sports and leisure activities

Spires + Options at St Edward's School Spring & Summer Language Vacations gives students the opportunity to benefit from six hours per week of additional learning opportunities across a range of academic, sporting and creative areas, including:

STEAM - Laying the STEAM foundations of inquiry, critical thinking, and process-based learning, including:

  • Start asking non-Googleable questions

English Literature – Finding it hard to structure essays, answering questions, and  would like support on analysing prose or poetry? Specific support in some of the following areas include:

  • Working through a difficult question or essay
  • How to structure, approach and write essays under the pressure
  • Revision techniques
